Aimed to be in the India Armed Forces, but ended up being a self taught photographer.Either ways… I would have shot someone.
The beauty of my native, Himachal, inspired me to capture it on my camera and that’s how I started my journey.
An avid biker, explorer and traveller, I am always inclined towards finding beauty in the mundane things.
Photography, for me, started as a passion and soon developed into a full-time profession.
I love to work on things related to advertising, fashion, lifestyle, interiors & food.
I had the privilege of working with different advertising agencies like Mudra, JWT and Fryed and I have shot several leading brands.
Swarovski’s first Indian wedding worldwide featured on Harper’s Bazaar magazine was shot by me.
My works have been published in various fashion and lifestyle magazines like Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Condé Nast Singapore, Hello, Hi Living, Southscope, Provoke and Ritz magazine.
Working in this field for several years, I felt the urge to break the stigma attached to beauty, especially a prejudice about a woman’s skin tone. It inspired me to start a campaign called “It’s Not Fair – By Lucky Malhotra.”
